Licensed in Ohio since 2003. Own firm since 2016. Exclusively criminal defense, in the courts of Ashland, Huron, and Richland counties.
When you are facing a criminal charge, the lawyer you hire matters more than almost any other decision you will make. I have been licensed to practice law in Ohio since 2003, and in 2016 I opened my own firm in downtown Ashland for a single purpose: defending people in the courtrooms of Ashland, Huron, and Richland counties. Criminal defense is not a sideline for me. It is all I do.
I earned my law degree from the University of Akron School of Law in 2002 and have been a member of the Ohio bar since 2003. My office is in downtown Ashland, a short walk from the Ashland County Courthouse, and I am familiar with the Ashland Municipal Court, the Mansfield Municipal Court, and the courts of Ashland, Huron, and Richland counties. I am familiar with the judges, the prosecutors, and the way each court actually handles a case — knowledge that no out-of-town firm can offer.
I am a solo practitioner by choice. When you hire me, you get me — not a paralegal, not an associate you have never met. I return client calls personally, I prepare every case as if it will be tried, and I give you a straight assessment of your situation from the first conversation. My clients come from every walk of life, and most of my new cases come from referrals and word of mouth from people I have represented.
I also believe in honest, predictable pricing. Most OVI and misdemeanor cases are handled for a flat fee — typically $1,500 to $2,500 — quoted before you hire me, so there are no surprises.
If you have been charged with OVI, assault, or any criminal offense in Ashland, Huron, or Richland County, call 419.520.8967. The consultation is free, and the earlier I get involved, the more I can do.
